This page serves as both a reference page for citing sources and a gateway to further exploration of LGBTQ+ culture and experiences. The project was undertaken for ANTH452 - Folklore & Expressive, a course that encourages students to delve into genres personally significant to them, to illuminate aspects of culture to a broader audience. Beneath The Magnolia Trees was conceived as a platform to explore the rich tapestry of LGBTQ+ experiences, particularly within the Southern United States. As an LGBTQ+ individual, I believe this project holds profound personal significance, serving as a means of sharing insights and fostering understanding within and beyond the LGBTQ+ community.
